  2. Making a Plan: To help the individual conceptualize the problem, they should be guided to visualize it using diagrams or their own drawings. Drawing the apples in the problem as simple lines or circles on paper is the best way to plan.

  3. Carrying Out the Plan: This is the stage where the identified operation (addition, subtraction, etc.) is written out and performed on paper.

  4. Checking: This involves questioning whether the result obtained makes logical sense.
